Joyful Companions COVID-19 Preparedness
Our Response to COVID-19
Joyful Companions Home Care is dedicated to the safety and well-being of our clients and caregivers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain steadfast in our commitment to compassionate care. We recognize that our clients are among the most vulnerable during this crisis increasing our vital role of serving seniors at home. Our team makes every effort to decrease the risk of spreading infectious diseases by training in accordance to the latest guidance from the MN Department of Health (MDH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). During this time of social distancing and isolation, we value communication and the gift we have in serving others.
To protect our clients and staff, Joyful Companions caregivers are pre-screened daily to monitor symptoms associated with COVID-19 before going to work. Caregivers are asked to stay home when ill, perform hand hygiene frequently, practice social-distancing and are required to wear facemasks as source control. They are provided appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, aligned with the MN Dept of Health for Contingency Standards of Care for COVID-19 PPE in Congregate Care Settings. Caregivers are also trained to perform routine environmental cleaning. We remain up to date on guidance from the MDH and CDC for home care services.
