Joyful Companions FAQ
Our team of professionals is composed of social workers and healthcare professionals who are deeply committed to placing the right caregiver with each family. In addition to our years of professional experience working with the elderly and in memory care, many of us have personal experiences with family members in need of care. That is why we employ an extensive selection process for staff. In addition to background checks, we extensively check references for all of our caregivers. In addition, all of our caregivers are bonded and insured.
No. While most of our clients may be older adults, we recognize that there are other groups that may need additional care. We offer services for seniors, people with memory issues, and people with disabilities. Contact us for more information about whether we can meet the needs of a specific potential client.
We are non-medical care providers. Our companions perform non-medical tasks for people who need them. Services include meal preparation, companionship, transportation, housekeeping, and memory care. While we caregivers can help coordinate with a healthcare team, they do not provide healthcare. However, we do provide care that can be tailored to meet people’s specific health needs, such as meal prep for people who need special diets, handling transportation for people who can no longer drive, and coordinating memory care services with a larger healthcare team.
That is a fantastic question. Choosing the right companion for yourself or for vulnerable family members can be a daunting task. We work with our clients and their families to make the best client-companion matches possible, to help foster and prolong independent and semi-independent living scenarios. Our history of success and happy clients makes us confident we can find the right match for your family.
